About the Speaker:
Althea Blake possesses a diverse track record comprising digital project leadership, business mentoring (youth and adults), board governance and financial education.
She is passionate about supporting schools, colleges and local authorities to create opportunities for young people, particularly from the BAME community. This is done via the creation and delivery of business start-up and branding workshops that inspire under 30s to become successful entrepreneurs, whilst reducing challenging behaviours and increasing confidence and communication skills.
Althea recently led the successful launch of a mentoring programme to lead more girls into maths-oriented sectors such as finance and STEM. 85% of students said they’d like to have more employer encounters in the classroom and benefitted from meeting female role models.
A highly competent business professional, qualified project manager, Certified NLP Practitioner and appointed to the board as a school finance governor to embed a stronger commercial acumen.
With over 20 years’ experience in enhancing successes and transforming underperformance into excellence by managing complex projects for many global brands including Facebook, Star Wars and Gucci, as well as non-profits.
Althea is well positioned to enhance the cultures and communications of businesses and their brands through sound strategies and best practices.
